About CJC-1295 With DAC

What it is

CJC-1295 with DAC is a growth-hormone-releasing hormone analogue carrying a Drug Affinity Complex — a maleimidopropionic acid group that reacts with a cysteine on serum albumin. That single modification is the entire difference between this and the No DAC version, and it is a large one.

How it is understood to work

Once bound to albumin the peptide is effectively shielded from renal clearance and enzymatic degradation, extending its presence from minutes to days. At the receptor it behaves as a GHRH analogue like the No DAC form, but the pharmacokinetics are completely different: a sustained elevation rather than a sharp pulse.

What research has looked at

Endocrine research on release patterns. The two forms are frequently confused, which matters, because a protocol designed around a pulsatile stimulus and one designed around sustained exposure are asking different questions. Check which form a paper used before comparing results.

Handling and storage

The albumin binding happens in the presence of serum, not in the vial, so storage is as for any lyophilised peptide: -20°C dry, 2-8°C in solution. Do not treat it as interchangeable with the No DAC version.

Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only. Nothing above describes a dose, a protocol, or a use in humans or animals, and none of these compounds is a licensed medicine in the UK.

Research Information

CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic GHRH analogue modified with a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC), which binds it to serum albumin and significantly extends its half-life — from minutes to days in research models. It's studied for its role in pituitary research, particularly in studies that need sustained GHRH receptor activation rather than the brief pulse of native GHRH. Researchers compare it to the No DAC variant to isolate the effect of half-life on growth hormone signalling pathways.

Research areas

  • Extended-action GHRH receptor studies
  • Comparative DAC vs No-DAC analogue research
  • Pituitary cell-line research
  • Sustained vs pulsatile signalling models

Analytical methods

Identity and purity are typically confirmed at source by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and mass spectrometry.

Storage and handling

Store lyophilised at -20°C, away from moisture and direct light. Once reconstituted, store at 2–8°C and use within the timeframe specified on the source datasheet.

For Research Use Only. Not for human or veterinary use.

Batch tested

Every batch is tested for identity and purity, and we publish the certificate.
